I am finally a home owner!

I have finally took the plunge and bought a house.  The fact that it is in Texas was really a leap of faith for me.

Home Inspection

Well I had my home inspection yesterday and it did not go the way I thought it would for buying a newly constructed house.  It looks like the builder is addressing some of the issues today but i hope the other issues can be addressed before closing on Friday.  Who thought buying a house would be this difficult!

Weekend not long enough!

I wish the weekend could have been a little bit longer this time.  I am still trying to get over my cold and one more day off would have done the ticket for me.

I am sick!

Well the one cold day we get in Texas knocks me on my butt.  I am trying to get over this cold and it is killing me.  It is hard to believe that the temperature today was over 70 degrees.

I have to work on my memory!

I had a lot to do the last two days back at work and I have to work on keeping track of my task.  It would probbaly help if I could actually enter my task in outlook so I at least get a reminder.  Note to self ' enter tasks into outlook from this day forth'..

Work Again!

Well, tomorrow I go back to work after having 3 days off.  I don't want to go!  I am not ready yet!

Homeward Bound!

I am out of here tomorrow morning and I am very tired.  I think I could stay another month if they would let me.

The Tour of Managua, Nicaragua!

Well I was able to get the tour and here are some of the photos.

Just the hotel!

I spent the entire day at the hotel.  I was hoping to get in to work for a bit but that did not happen.  I hope to see more tomorrow.

The elections are over!

Well the elections are over in Nicaragua and hopefully things should calm down after tonight. I think Nicaragua is a cool place to visit! I hope to be able to come back again soon. Which may happen since I have another ticket to use within the next 12 months.

I am here!

I have finally made it to Managua, Nicaragua and it was not what I expected.  The building look the same as any other place I have been to in the states but the topography on the other hand is very different.  I can see the mountains and inactive volcanos in and around Managua.  Pretty cool!

Nicaragua here I come!

Well I just got the word and made/changed my reservations for next week to fly to Nicaragua.  It is going to be a long 7 days!

Well after cancelling my trip last week I was given the okay the other day just to have it resended.  I think next week it will finally happen.

I got nothing!!

Today was almost like a Friday.  I did not feel overloaded and I actually got a chance to study today.  Okay I lied, I have almost nothing!

Grandma

I just found out a couple of days ago someone I considered to be my grandmother passed away. It puts a lot of things into prospective and really makes you think about the things you should be considering important in your life.

It is Friday and the day went by pretty quickly.  I am ready to go home and do a little down time with the TV.

When I woke up this morning I did not have any idea my day would be a series of unfinished task.  I wish I can get a heads up on these day so I can save some gas money and not come into work.  Oh wait a minute, that is very negative of me!  I did finish a couple of things today.  I was worried there for a minute.  Okay I'm alright!

Tickets!

I am trying to keep up on my tickets after being called for having so few in the system.  I will have to start putting my ticket in the system more regularly.  I am a bad boy!

Toner!

I realized today I needed a network toner for some work I do here, even though I am not a network technician.  You learn a lot as a tech!

It's going to be a late night!

Well I am on-call tonight until 5am.  I was told I would not be called unless connectivity with the building was lossed, but I seen that movie and the extra always dies in the opening credits.  At least I will get a lot of reading done this evening.

Is it Friday yet?

Oh that's right it is Friday!  Thank Goodness!  I did not think I was going to make it.  Here's to next week being free of sickness.

Solutions Again!

Well Solutions is down again today!  Nothing new there!  On a positive note, I was able to finish my symantec server buildout.  Now if I could only get this Solutions monkey off my back!

Well for the last couple of days there has been a problem with solutions access.  This required me to come in on a Saturday to investigate.  Does this get any easier?

A first from work!

This is the first time writing to my blog from work but I doubt I will go upstairs to my office when I get home nor pull my laptop out to do anything tonight.  I am trying to limit my time on a computer to 0 minutes when I am home unless the laptop is out and powered up ready to go!  After being on a computer all day at work it kinda loses it luster when I get home.

Ike has left the building!

Well it is a new day and the Storm named Ike has come and gone for the people of Texas.  I am now just getting power back to my apartment.  I hope the rest of the weekend is less eventful!

Nothing New

Okay, I spent my entire Saturday in my apartment doing nothing.  I will have to be more productive tomorrow

Late Day Again!

Well I was at work past 9pm again today.  The last two days I have got a lot done but the days are getting to long.  I hope to be able to go home earlier tomorrow, but I wouldn't count on it!

Internet Cafe

Well I was finally able to finish the internet cafe today.  It seems to be a popular spot.

Labor Day Weekend!

Well it is Labor Day weekend and I think I have Monday off.  I am going to try and use my time off wisely.  Yeah right!!!

Well it is Saturday and I have not been called into work yet.  I have to decide what to do with the day.  I think a movie is in order.

Well today was the day of bad audio and the issue being escalated to anyone and everyone.  I hope the problem is resolved tomorrow!

Working the Weekend!

Well this is the 4th weekend I had to go into work.  I hope this trend will end soon.

Home at a decent hour!

I finally was able to get home before 9pm this evening.  I don't know what to do with myself now!  I think I am going to shoot for 8pm tomorrow.  Wish me luck!

A break at last!!!!!

After the longest 3 weeks ever, I finally have a break to get some personal stuff done.  I was able to go to my family reunion last Friday and it was nice to get the time off.

Day 2

Well day 2 has come and gone with no problems.  Maybe I will get to go to my family reunion this weekend.

Well this was the first day of taking calls for the call center in Jacksonville and it seem to go okay.

Losing Internet

Well the day has finally arrived and we have all the equipment configured to bring the network up, but we will lose internet access for a day.

July 4th

Well it is July 4th and I am working the evening at eTelecare.  I am almost done with setting up PCs for Monday and hopefully can get to see the fireworks this evening.

Updates

It has been a long week.  Lots of construction going on and we are still trying to setup the network gear.  Hope to be done with that today and then the PC deployment starts.

I have found an apartment!

I have finally found an apartment in Tyler.   It will be a long commute to Jacksonville but that is okay for now/1

I think I may have found an apartment but I have to wait until Monday to see if there are any houses in town to rent.

First Week in Texas

Well it is the first week in texas and it has been vey busy for me.  I am running back and forth between two sites doing tech support as well as overseeing the technical aspects of the new buildout.  Need to look for a place to live this weekend!

Confusion

Worked on a lot of computers today for my relatives and it has been a long day.  Everything seems to be fine so far and my flight for Omaha leaves tomorrow morning at 9am.

Dad's Birthday

Today is my dad's birthday and I am in Chicago to celebrate it with him.

Chicago

I am now in Chicago for my Dad's birthday and will be seeing him tomorrow.

One more day

I have one more day in Rio Rancho, New Mexico and then off to Chicago.

Getting Closer

Well another days is over and I am a little closer to having all my stuff packed and ready to move.

Well it looks like it is official.  I am packing my bags and moving to Texas.

I am now moving to Jacksonville, Texas to again work for eTelecare at a new call center. I will still be working in IT just relocating.
