First Day Back

Well it has been a while, and a lot has changed for me.  More to come later lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here we go again

I got to stop buying equipment and not using it.  

Okay, trying to get away from cable so I am using a OTA tuner with a cheap window antenna.  I was getting 7 channels with half of them poor signal.  I have had a rabbit ear antenna in my closet for ever and thought I would never have any use for it until watching an episode of "Antenna Man" on Youtube who said it was feasible to use two antennas at the same time so I thought to myself, I have an adapter and cables to make that work so let me see what difference it makes on my signal.  Well as you may have guess it increased my signal strength and number of channels 50%.  Why didn't I try this a couple of years ago, why?

Oh well, all is good now.  I will go with this for a while and see how it goes.

2020 What's new!

It has been a couple of years since my last post but here goes it.

I have been trying to get up to date with new tech..I had bought a powerline adapter kit for my network connection for my bedroom.   I have had these for the last 3 years but never broke them out of the box until a couple of days ago.  Wow, I am kicking my self in the butt for not setting these up sooner.  It was plug and play (no clicking of the pairing button or anything).  This thing is amazing!  I have my android box plugged into it(not happy with the android box, it is a vulnerability vector waiting to bit me in the butt) and it work okay with Youtube and PlutoTV.  I need to by one more pair of them to get the livingroom and kitchen setup but not sure about the throughput since the more you have plugged in the less throughput for them overall.

Movie Day

After going out to watch Startrek Beyond I decided to stay at home and watch Jason Bourne and Central Intelligence both I must say were good movies.  I think I might do Superman vs Batman now.  I need a distraction for this evening.  Then dinner, exercise and sleep.  Probably not in that order either.

Startrek Beyond

Just got back from the movie Startrek Beyond and it was a good movie.  It has been several years since I have been to the movies and boy has it changed.  You can have your dinner served to you at your seat.  I did not have anything since I am self conscious about even eating at a restaurant by my self.  It smelled good!

Whew!!!!!!!!

I almost pouched my corporate laptop this evening.  It bluescreen and would not boot back into windows.  Well after a couple of reboots it is working now.  I will have to back up my documents and get ready to reinstall Windows.  I needed to do it for a while but held off on it.  Now I am thinking that this glitch was a sign for me to get this done.
